<p>Valley Hi Nursing Home and Rehabilitation seeks a full time day shift Professional Nurse, RN/LPN. The Professional Nurse provides direct resident care including but not limited to: administering medication, taking and monitoring vital signs, taking blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.</p> <p>Rate of Pay:</p> <p>Part Time RN $41.00</p> <p>Part Time LPN $34.00</p> <p>Work Schedule: 2 weekdays and every other weekend. Holidays required. 6:45am - 3:15pm</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Administers and documents medications and treatments according to physician's orders; observes residents for reactions and side effects; observes functional levels of clients; notes changes in physical or mental condition and reports changes to physician as necessary. </li><li>Interacts with residents and their family members to respond to issues or questions. </li><li>Performs I.V. monitoring and venipuncture; provides skilled nursing services, diagnostic, and preventive procedures. </li><li>Monitors and inspects nursing units. Insures that proper procedures are adhered to by resident staff and initiates corrective action as necessary. </li><li>Participate in the assessment of resident equipment and supply needs. </li><li>Interact with staff, administration and other shift personnel to provide shift reports or exchange information and efficiently accomplish work assignments; reviews shift reports and other nursing records. Implements appropriate follow-up action on reported information. </li><li>Completes nursing records and reports to include documenting the amount and type of care rendered; maintains case files by performing appropriate charting and writing summaries. </li><li>Counsels residents and family members regarding nursing care needs, contraindicated measures, and related problems. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:</p> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or school of nursing. </li><li>One or more years of progressively responsible related experience. </li></ul> <p>Licenses and Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Licensed Nurse </li><li>C.P.R.
