<p>Procurement Specialist - 1st Shift - Purchasing</p> <p>BENEFITS: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K</p> <p>AHF Products has a job opportunity for a Procurement Specialist to be located in Crossville, TN. Under the guidance of the Procurement Director. We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Procurement Specialist to support our tile manufacturing operations by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing raw materials, equipment, and services. This role is critical in ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of quality materials such as clay, glazes, pigments, and packaging along with MRO and machinery necessary for tile production.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Source and evaluate suppliers for raw materials, machinery, and services aligned with production needs and quality standards. </li><li>Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to optimize cost savings and supply reliability. </li><li>Issue purchase orders and manage the procurement process from requisition to delivery. </li><li>Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely fulfillment and resolve any delivery or quality issues. </li><li>Collaborate with production, quality, and logistics teams to forecast demand and maintain optimal inventory levels. </li><li>Identify cost reduction opportunities, process improvements, and supply chain efficiencies. </li><li>Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations related to procurement and vendor contracts. </li><li>Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other essential procurement data. </li><li>Development and delivery of the right standard reports to measure Spend, PPV, ADP across all Procurement areas - Raw Materials, Indirect Corporate, Capital, Energy, MRO Goods, MRO Services, and Sourced Products. </li><li>Development and delivery of ad-hoc analysis as needed to support Procurement leadership. </li><li>Support large scale RFP activities by working closely with the procurement manager(s) at a local as well as corporate level. </li><li>Manages the competitive bidding process. Requests quotations/bids, conducts negotiations and issues purchase orders for assigned categories. </li><li>Maintain and update Procurement project tracker database </li><li>Coordinate the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of contracts, including leasing agreements, equipment contracts, and service agreements ensuring compliance with company policies and legal standards at both a local and corporate level. </li></ul> <p>JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Must be at least 18 years of age </li><li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field. </li><li>2-5 years of procurement experience in a manufacturing environment; tile or construction materials industry preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of materials commonly used in tile production (e.g., clay, ceramic glazes, adhesives). </li><li>Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills. </li><li>Excellent technical knowledge and aptitude in Office Suite and ERP systems (e.g., M3, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite). </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities. </li><li>Experience with global sourcing and import/export logistics. </li><li>Understanding of inventory management principles and lean manufacturing. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and production requirements. </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Occasionally walking, standing, stretching, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, lifting, grasping, and repetitive movements </li><li>Occasionally unloading trucks and assisting with MRO storeroom tasks which may require lifting up to 50lbs. </li><li>Frequent ability to read and effectively communicate both by spoken and written words </li></ul> <p>MENTAL DEMANDS:</p> <ul> <li>Think analytically </li><li>Make decisions </li><li>Develop options and implement solutions </li><li>Work with a team </li><li>Maintain regular and punctual attendance (consistent with ADA and/or FMLA) </li><li>Attention to detail </li><li>Communicate effectively </li><li>Multitask in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Work with a Sense of Urgency </li></ul>
