<p>Essential Job Duties: To provide face-to-face instruction to students enrolled in Class A and B CDL Skills for Success courses offered by the ACCS Innovation Center.</p> <p>Campus: Southwest Campus</p> <p>Salary: Local salary schedule- $35/hr. - no more than 19 hours per weekRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent oral, auditory, and written communication skills. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks at once. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, other employees, and the public. </li><li>Hands-on knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and repair. </li></ul> <p>Major Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide professional delivery of required, in-person, range and road training for students enrolled in Class A or B Skills for Success courses offered by the ACCS Innovation Center </li><li>Operate all required lab equipment as required for appropriate demonstrations. </li><li>Provide instruction in the areas of safety, operations, and maintenance of appropriate equipment. </li><li>Observe and evaluate student progress, provide feedback, and make recommendations for improvement. </li><li>Prepare required reports and maintain student records and training activity details. </li><li>Prepare training outlines and schedules and establish course goals. </li><li>Develop teaching aids such as instructional software, multimedia visual aids, or study materials, as required. </li><li>Maintain all standards under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSR) Part 391, Qualifications of Driver, and Part 382 Controlled Substance and Alcohol Use and Testing. </li><li>Demonstrate effective people skills, communication skills, and work ethic. </li><li>Attend DOT/Department of Public Safety Workshop for Commercial Motor Vehicle Examiner skills testing. </li><li>Participate in conferences, seminars, and training sessions to keep abreast of developments in the field, and integrate relevant information into training program. </li><li>Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean of Career Technical Education, Vice President of Operations, and the President. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma or GED is required. </li><li>Three (3) years of in field work experience, one (1) of which must be on the road is required. </li><li>Class "A" Commercial Driver License is required. </li><li>A Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card is required. </li><li>Must be able to pass the 3rd Party School exam within the first twelve (12) months of hire. </li><li>Associate Degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>A completed application packet consists of:</p> <ul> <li>Completed Bishop State Community College employment application (must be signed) </li><li>Current resume </li><li>Transcripts (official required if hired) </li></ul>
