<p>Apply</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Job Summary: The Welder operates fabricating machines such as cutoff saws and punches that cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes, strut channel and structures by performing the following duties below.</p> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Read and understand blueprints/plans to determine the kind and quality of materials needed </li><li>Set up and operate fabricating machines (such as brakes, rolls, grinders, and drill presses) to bend, cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble metal components </li><li>Observe strict safe work habits </li><li>Should be familiar with the following: </li><li>Hydraulic press brakes </li><li>Plasma cutters </li><li>Punches </li><li>Rollers </li></ul> <p>Details:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday </li><li>Typically, 40 hours (OT available depending on NEFCO needs) </li><li>Start time is flexible and can be anywhere from 6:00AM to 7:00AM. End time will adjust accordingly between 3:30PM and 4:00PM. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma (or equivalent) </li><li>Ability to use NEFCO's ERP software system </li><li>Must pass a Tape Measure Test </li><li>Ability to use warehouse layouts for planning purposes </li><li>Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, or Outlook a plus </li><li>Basic computer skills </li><li>Must have a positive, hard-working attitude </li><li>Ability to establish priorities, work independently and little supervision </li><li>Ability to multitask </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>Ability to stands on concrete floor for long periods of time </li><li>Must be able to work in various climate conditions such as cold, heat, humidity for a long period of time </li><li>Ability to crouch, stoop, kneel, crawl and twist for lifting </li><li>Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. </li><li>Ability to review and interpret computer images and written documents </li><li>Analytical ability including basic math skills </li></ul>
