<p>Department: Maintenance 2nd Shift</p> <p>Job Title: Maintenance Technician</p> <p>Summary: This position is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery and equipment, primarily the customized assembly machines for Motor Production Lines.</p> <p>Essential Functions of the Job The essential functions of this job require the person, with or without reasonable accommodations, to perform the following:</p> <ul> <li>Receive verbal instructions from the supervisor and carry out tasks with minimal oversight. </li><li>Perform basic to advanced machine repair and maintenance. </li><li>Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions. </li><li>Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments. </li><li>Fabricates custom repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. </li><li>Replace worn or damaged parts such as hoses, wiring, and belts, in machines and equipment. </li><li>Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipate needed equipment, parts, and supplies; place and expedite orders; verify receipt. </li><li>Assess and prioritize maintenance requests and daily work assignments to ensure critical issues are addressed promptly. </li><li>Demonstrate sound judgment and problem-solving skills while working independently and under time constraints. </li><li>Lift or move up to 50 pounds and climb up to a height of 50 feet. </li><li>May be exposed to minor risk of electrical shock in the repair of electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as switches and fuses. </li><li>Perform all other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Recommended Education and/or Experience:</p> <p>Technical School Degree (2 years) in Industrial Technology with a concentration and knowledge of electrical circuits, electronic device basics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and PLC programming.</p> <p>Minimum three to five years related machine repair and maintenance experience.</p> <p>All Employees are expected to:</p> <ul> <li>Follow the Employee Handbook policies and procedures and uphold organizational values. </li><li>Contribute to building a positive work environment. </li><li>Report for work consistently and on time. </li><li>Report to supervision conditions or practices that are unsafe to ebm-papst and its employees. </li></ul> <p>Monday - Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm</p>
