<p>Position Overview:</p> <p>The Accounting/Business Analyst plays a key role in analyzing financial data and business operations to support decision-making in a grocery distribution environment. This role is responsible for performing financial reporting, cost analysis, forecasting, and business performance evaluation to improve efficiency and profitability across the supply chain.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or revenue enhancement. </li><li>Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review. </li><li>Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and financial modeling. </li><li>Partner with operations, procurement, logistics, and merchandising teams to evaluate business performance and support strategic initiatives. </li><li>Assist with general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities. </li><li>Conduct margin and pricing analysis to support product and customer profitability reviews. </li><li>Evaluate and streamline financial processes for efficiency and compliance with internal controls. </li><li>Develop dashboards and KPIs to track business and operational metrics. </li><li>Support enterprise accounting systems (e.g., ERP platforms MS Access, Excel, document storage and workflow software). </li><li>Design, build, and maintain standard and ad hoc financial reports and models using tools such as MS Access and Excel </li><li>Performing other duties as assigned by leadership </li></ul> <p>Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Warehouse Office - approx. 65F - 75F </li></ul> <p>Schedule:</p> <ul> <li>Monday - Friday </li><li>8:00am - 5:30pm </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in Accounting </li><li>Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field </li><li>Preferred: Experience with financial systems, reporting, and general ledgers. </li><li>Preferred: Experience with programming/scripting tools such as Python or VBA </li><li>Preferred: Wholesale and Retail experience preferred. </li><li>Preferred: Proficiency in English (written and verbal) to effectively communicate with associates and leadership </li></ul> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Physical abilities: Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc; </li><li>Strong communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with peers and leaders on a daily basis </li><li>Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; project management </li><li>Working in a team based environment: Working independently and as a team player to ensure our customers are receiving orders timely and with the highest quality </li><li>Quality: Maintain integrity and high standards from all perspectives </li><li>Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shift </li></ul> <p>Other details</p> <ul> <li>Pay Type Salary </li></ul> <p>Apply Now</p> <ul> <li>275 Schoolhouse Rd, Cheshire, CT 06410, USA </li></ul>
