Our nursing faculty have the opportunity to educate future nurses at the BSN, MN/MSN, PhD and DNP level, including state-of-art simulation laboratories; conduct nursing & interdisciplinary research; engage in faculty practice, including our nurse-run clinics; pursue entrepreneurial and consultative activities; and serve as a nursing leader and development of leadership skills through our Emergent Nurse Leader Program. Incumbent will provide instructional and technical support for the day-to-day operations in the human simulation educational laboratories at our Off Campus Instructional Site: Baton Rouge, under the direction of our Nursing Skills & Technology Center; support all clinical learning lab and simulated patient care learning experiences to successfully complete evidence-based learning opportunities in simulated patient care environments.</p> <p>Other Information About the Position</p> <p>This position is located at our 'Off Campus Instruction Site: in Baton Rouge, LA.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Required Education: Master's</p> <p>Other Education if applicable: Master's Degree in Nursing or related field; Doctorate Degree required for Assistant Professor or above.</p> <p>Type of experience required to perform the job: Ability to effectively manage a highly complex and high paced laboratory environment with careful attention to details and safety; Knowledge of computer hardware and software applications relevant to simulation & learning labs; Ability to collaborate.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred Education: Doctorate</p> <p>Other Education if applicable: Doctoral degree in Nursing or Health related field</p> <p>Certifications or Licenses Preferred: BLS CPR Instructor certification (also ACLS and/or PALS)</p> <p>Preferred Experience: Experience working with/and disposal of chemicals & bio-hazardous materials and familiarity with state & federal regulations; Experience in maintaining simulation laboratory inventories, supplies & equipment.</p> <p>Additional Information About Our School/Department</p> <p>Comprehensive benefits are available to eligible employees and their dependents including health, life, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; retirement plans; generous annual and sick leave; 14 paid holidays per year; and an employee health primary care clinic.
