Our mission is to support Alaskans on their journey to recovery.</p> <p>About the Team</p> <p>Join our Mobile Crisis team as a Peer Support Specialist. In this role, you will collaborate with clinicians to assist families in crisis within the community. Working directly with referrals, you will provide support, advocate for individuals, and promote resilience and stabilization through various interventions.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a role model for individuals in crisis by sharing your own recovery journey, inspiring hope, and offering valuable insights. </li><li>Identify and leverage strengths and natural support systems to facilitate recovery-focused care. </li><li>Ensure accurate documentation of all interactions in the Electronic Health Record. </li><li>Conduct follow-ups with individuals involved in the program and provide ongoing support for up to six weeks as recommended by the clinician. </li></ul> <p>Good To Know</p> <ul> <li>Location: Fairbanks, Alaska </li><li>Employment Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt </li><li>Student Loan Repayment and Tuition Assistance is Available - Professional Growth is encouraged! </li><li>AKBH offers generous benefits including two healthcare options for employees and their dependent children; voluntary vision and dental insurance; employer-provided life insurance/AD&D and long-term disability; Five (5) weeks of PTO for the first year; eight (8) weeks of PTO after the first year.
