<p>Freese and Nichols is searching for a skilled Automation Specialist to support our I&C Design team in Raleigh, NC.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develops Technical Memorandums related to I&C projects including, but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p>SCADA Master Planning</p> </li><li> <p>PLC and HMI Selections</p> </li><li> <p>Telemetry Studies</p> </li><li> <p>Preliminary Engineering/Design Reports</p> </li><li> <p>Develop P&IDs, IO Lists, and requirements for industrial control panels</p> </li><li> <p>Develops plans and specifications for I&C projects</p> </li><li> <p>Develops testing requirements for hardware and software</p> </li><li> <p>Develop simulations for PLC testing</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to troubleshoot control system hardware and software problems</p> </li><li> <p>Train clients on the use of hardware and software for their application</p> </li><li> <p>Work with vendors, integrators, and internal I&C team to respond to and resolve SCADA system issues</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years in SCADA and/or I&C Design</p> </li><li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in all phases of SCADA system design, from pre-proposal involvement to the initial report, design, production, and construction.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience managing SCADA implementation projects</p> </li><li> <p>Experience interacting and working with a diverse set of clients and subcontractors</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent technical writing skills</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills and Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Certifications: Ability to be licensed as a PE</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in VTScada, AVEVA System Platform, Studio 5000, and Concept</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SCADA Planning and Technology Selection Projects</p> </li><li> <p>OT Networking and Cybersecurity</p> </li><li> <p>Revit or AutoCad</p> </li><li> <p>XLReporter or Dream Reports</p> </li></ul> <p>About Freese and Nichols</p> <p>At the heart of our culture is our LEADS values (Learn continuously, Engage as family, Act with integrity, Deliver quality, and Serve always).
