<p>Department</p> <p>Nursing Staffing Services</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Registered Nurse - Full-time, Cardiac Division & Ultimate Float Team(Experienced RNs) All Shifts & All Units</p> <p>Ultimate Float Team - Registered Nurse (RN)</p> <p>Our Ultimate Float Team provides skilled, patient-centered care across 20+ units at the Sarasota Campus, with opportunities to float to specialty units such as ICU, SMH Venice Campus, Pediatrics, and Cornell.</p> <p>Patient Population & Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Patients requiring complex nursing assessment and care, including but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Orthopedic & Trauma Care - Fractures, orthopedic abnormalities requiring surgical intervention, traction application, splinting, and skeletal immobilization. </li><li>Neurological Care - Acute Traumatic Brain Injuries with potential ventriculostomy management. </li><li>Cardiac Care - Titration of cardiac drips (Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, etc.). </li></ul> <p>Cardiac Division Inpatient Units</p> <p>10ET-Respiratory Progressive Care</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-26 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li>Respiratory high acuity pts: Asthma, COPD, Pneumonias, CF, Pleural Effusions, Bipaps </li><li>Rapid Response Patients transferred from other floors </li><li>No surgeries </li></ul> <p>9ET-Trauma Progressive Care</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-26 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li>Trauma and acut care surgery patients </li><li>Cardiac and medical overflows </li><li>Telemtry including cardiac and insulin drips </li></ul> <p>8ET- Cardiac Progressive 2</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-14 </li><li>Semi-10 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li>Cardiac, CHF, Chest Pain, Arrhythmias, Syncope </li><li>Cath Lab Post Procedures </li></ul> <p>7ET- Cardiac Progressive 4</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-17 </li><li>Semi-15 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li>Designated Heart Failure Unit </li><li>Open Heart pts before surgery </li><li>Pre & post cath. Pts, pacemaker/ AICD pts CIWA pts, GI Bleeds, Altered mental status pts </li><li>Surgeries: Pre & Post heart Cath, pacemakers, AICD, Cardioversions, Ablations </li></ul> <p>5ET-Cardiac Neuro Med-Surg Unit</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-10 </li><li>Semi-36 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population</p> <ul> <li>Acute Stroke, Neurosurgery-Spine & Brain, Complicated Seizures </li><li>Epilepsy Monitoring </li><li>Myasthenia Gravis, Guillian Barre, Post Brain Embolization, Spinal Surgery, Laminectomies, Craniotomy </li><li>Cardiac Arrythmias, Chest Pain, Pre & Post Cath Patients </li><li>Epilepsy Monitoring </li></ul> <p>8CYT Cardiac Acute Care Unit & Remote Telemetry</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-28 </li><li>Semi-8 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cath lab post-procedure patients many of whom have A-lines and temporary pacemakers as well as some med-surg telemetry patients.</p> </li><li> <p>Coronary Stents, Mitral Clip Insertion, Watchman Procedure, Cross Septum Ablations,</p> </li><li> <p>Congestive Heart Failure, Myocardial Infarctions, CAPD/CCPD</p> </li><li> <p>Temporary Transvenous Pacemakers, Permanent Pacemakers, Venous/Arterial Sheaths, Pre-open Heart Patients</p> </li><li> <p>The Cardiac Transport Nurses, Code Blue Nurses, and the Remote Telemetry room are also part of our floor.</p> </li><li> <p>Unit Surgeries: Post procedure patients, mainly from Cath lab with some coming from IR</p> </li></ul> <p>7CYT Cardiac Progressive 3 Cardiac Thoracic Step Down</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-28 </li><li>Semi-8 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li>Post-op open heart </li><li>Thoracic surgeries, Cardiac Intervention Unit </li><li>Chest Tubes </li><li>Pacers, Central lines, Insulin gtts, TAVR, Vascular Surgeries </li><li>Temporary Pacemaker, Epicardial wires, high volume pain unit- PCA pump, epidurals, tube feedings </li></ul> <p>5NW Medical Short Stay</p> <p>Bed Base:</p> <ul> <li>Private-2 </li><li>Semi-16 </li></ul> <p>Patient Population:</p> <ul> <li>Post-op open heart </li><li>Average length of stay 48hrs so fast past environment. Wide variety of diagnosis. </li><li>Neuro/Cardiac/GI </li><li>Respiratory/Uro/Renal </li></ul> <p>Salary Details:</p> <p>Hourly rate is determined by years of worked experience as an RN, education level, and internal equity within organization. Minimum rate starting at $32.50, max of salary range is $51.00. In addition to hourly rate, if candidate holds an approved certification position qualifies for certification pay of $1.50.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Require graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, Bachelor of Science Degree in nursing (BSN) is required within specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy (126.045). </li><li>Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications. </li></ul> <p>Required License and Certs</p> <p>BLS: Basic Life Support/CPR</p> <p>FL RN: FL Registered Nurse License</p>
