Come join the Parktree Community Health Center Team!</p> <p>Parktree Community Health Center provides comprehensive and integrative medical, dental, and behavioral health services to the local community in the Pomona and Ontario areas.</p> <p>We are looking for an energetic and professional Medical Assistant to join our team on a temporary basis.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Complies with all mandatory trainings. </li><li>Perform direct patient care within the Medical Assistant Scope of Practice. </li><li>Accurately take medical history, vitals, and document patient complaints. </li><li>Assist provider as needed during examination and treatment of patient. </li><li>Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets and other provider instructions to patients. </li><li>Provide translation services as needed. </li><li>Keep rooms stocked, clean and neat at all times. </li><li>Administer vaccines </li><li>Clean and sterilize equipment and consistently adhere to infection control policies and procedures. </li><li>Operate electrocardiogram (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine screening tests. </li><li>Give intra-dermal and intramuscular injections and inhalation treatments under the close supervision of a licensed practitioner. </li><li>Collect blood and other specimens then log and route them for testing. </li><li>Maintain confidentiality and security of Protected Health Information. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Treat all patients and colleagues with dignity and respect. </li><li>Ability to work with diverse populations </li><li>Flexibility with schedule </li><li>Must have MA/CMA certification. </li><li>Must possess current CPR card. </li><li>Knowledge of medical terminology. </li><li>Must be bilingual in English and Spanish. </li></ul> <p>Comprehensive Employee Benefits including:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive Medical/Dental/Vision benefits for Full-Time employees </li><li>Paid holidays, vacation, sick time </li><li>Retirement Plan with employer contribution </li></ul> <p>Work Location:</p> <ul> <li>Multiple locations </li></ul> <p>Work Remotely</p> <ul> <li>No </li></ul> <p>Job Types: Full-time, Temporary</p> <p>Pay: $21.00 - $21.50 per hour</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>401(k) matching </li><li>Dental insurance </li><li>Health insurance </li><li>Life insurance </li><li>Paid sick time </li><li>Paid time off </li><li>Vision insurance </li></ul> <p>Work Location: In person</p>
