<p>Job Title: Quality Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>We are seeking a diligent Quality Engineer to support both internal and external customers. This role involves assisting the Quality Assurance Team in processing and resolving customer concerns, providing technical support, and mentoring Quality Technicians. The successful candidate will understand and apply quality assurance and improvement processes, participate in new product launches, and represent Quality as part of the APQP process. Additionally, you will communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, and employees, provide support for the ISO 9001 Quality System, and practice customer relations and problem-solving.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support all customers, both internal and external to the company. </li><li>Assist in processing and resolving customer concerns. </li><li>Provide technical support and mentorship to Quality Technicians. </li><li>Understand and apply appropriate quality assurance and improvement processes. </li><li>Participate in new product launches, representing Quality as part of the APQP process. </li><li>Communicate with customers, suppliers, and employees. </li><li>Provide support for the ISO 9001 Quality System. </li><li>Practice customer relations and problem-solving. </li><li>Utilize the Inventory Management System to perform required transactions and generate reports and studies. </li><li>Notify suppliers of issues and concerns. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. </li><li>Over 3 years of experience with the corrective action process. </li><li>Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, or Process Flow. </li><li>Proficiency in GD&T/Drawing interpretation. </li><li>Mechanically inclined. </li><li>Experience with statistical tools, preferably Minitab. </li><li>Familiarity with ISO 9001. </li><li>Hands-on measuring/testing experience. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Exposure to fastening. </li><li>Experience in the automotive or medical device industries. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The work environment is an office attached to a very clean lab equipped with lab instruments, mic, calipers, gages, and computers.
