<p>Position Summary</p> <p>Under general supervision of the Correctional Services Manager (Assistant Administrator) and in consultation with the Division of Community Corrections (DCC) Evidence-Based Decision Making (EBDM) Committee, this position will provide leadership and direction to all 125 probation and parole field units for the Division of Community Corrections to ensure adherence and fidelity (integrity) to evidence-based practices. These practices include Core Correctional Practices (relationship skills, effective use of reinforcement, disapproval and authority, prosocial modeling, cognitive restructuring, social and problem-solving skills training) and other effective supervision strategies that align with recidivism reduction principles. Performance of these duties will incur significant travel and potential overnights. This position will utilize current research regarding evidence-based principles of effective interventions and continuous quality improvement methods (i.e. coaching) to develop and implement policy and procedures for DCC field staff including Correctional Field Supervisors and Probation and Parole Agents.</p> <p>In addition, this position will develop and deliver training to management staff and oversee the Division's Quality Improvement and Fidelity Model of conducting observations and audits of offender-agent interactions, objectively measuring performance and providing feedback. This position serves as a coach to provide individualized training and skill building strategies for management and field staff. This position develops and employs processes for organizational change to ensure that significant changes regarding evidence-based principles are implemented in an orderly, controlled and systematic fashion. The Implementation and Fidelity Specialist will serve as staff authority to integrate complex principles of evidence-based practices, motivational interviewing, and other recidivism reduction policies throughout the Division. This position will develop processes to collect data, including staff and offender surveys, and prepare reports and recommendations to management regarding findings and protocols implemented as well as report on trends and progress on statewide implementation.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in pay schedule/range 07-03 with an annual salary of $57574 - $94993, plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the State Compensation Plan, Wisconsin Administrative Code, and statutes.
