This role supports key academic processes that guide students from admission through graduation, helping ensure a seamless and positive experience.</p> <p>The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Success in this position requires professionalism, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset, as you will work closely with colleagues across the institution to maintain efficient operations and high service standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a structured yet dynamic setting and takes pride in supporting student success behind the scenes.</p> <p>Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Review and assess incoming student transcripts to determine transfer credit eligibility </li><li>Manage student communications related to transcript evaluation status and processing updates </li><li>Support the degree conferral process and serve a point of contact for graduate regarding diploma-related inquiries </li><li>Maintain and update the transfer catalog database to ensure accurate course equivalencies </li><li>Manage communications with graduates concerning commencement ceremony participation and provide on-site support during the event </li><li>Assist in maintaining and retaining student records in accordance with institutional policies </li><li>Provide functional backup for support staff within the admissions, registration and records unit. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <p>Education equivalent to a high school diploma and two years of general office work experience.</p> <p>Knowledge of basic word processing/personal computer software.</p> <p>Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling.</p> <p>Knowledge of general office procedures.</p> <p>Knowledge of record keeping procedures.</p> <p>Skill in operating standard office machines and personal computers.</p> <p>Skill in providing information and assistance to staff and students.</p> <p>Skill in oral and written communications.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Physical Demands: Work Hours: Core business hours 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with some Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Posting Date 03/04/2026 Closing Date: Special Instructions to Applicants:</p> <p>Please apply online at https://jobs.kvcc.edu.</p> <p>This position will remain posted until filled, however, priority consideration will be given to applications received by March 17, 2026.</p> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>As an employer, Kalamazoo Valley encourages, welcomes, and fosters differences because we believe that diversity makes us great.
