<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As the Director of the Benefit Services Bureau, you will provide strategic leadership to the Bureau and be responsible for managing and directing the delivery and operations for the benefit services administered by the Department of Employee Trust Funds. This includes, but is not limited to, overseeing the initiation and claims management of disability benefit programs, administration related to disability programs, overseeing the initiation and management of health insurance enrollment and eligibility for benefit recipients including associated premium deduction programs, overseeing the initiation and management of WRS programs for benefit recipients, analyzing data and policy, resolving program operational problems, supervising subordinate staff, and developing policies and procedures to carry out the Bureau's eleven different programs. You will also serve as a liaison between the programs and external stakeholders such as legislative and internal audit teams and participant/annuitant advisory groups.</p> <p>Please review the position description for more information.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This position is in classification Trust Funds Director (pay schedule/range 81-02), with an annual salary up to $125694, plus excellent benefits.</p> <p>Pay for current and new state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment.</p> <p>To learn more about ETF's total compensation package, please visit our Total Rewards Calculator!</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>ETF offers hybrid remote/office work. If interested in hybrid remote/office work, this can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. The selected employee(s) must report to ETF's office on the first day of employment. In addition, the employee may need to report to ETF on short notice as operational needs require. All employees are expected to be headquartered and work within the state of Wisconsin.</p> <p>ETF does not sponsor work visas. Any appointment made will be contingent on the applicant being able to prove valid status to work in the United States.</p> <p>Prior to any appointments for position(s) filled from this announcement, candidates may be subject to a comprehensive criminal background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the duties required of the position.</p> <p>A 2-year Career Executive trial period or 1-year probationary period may be required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally Qualified candidates will have experience in all the following:</p> <ul> <li>Formally supervising other staff (e.g., hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, etc.) </li><li>Interpreting and applying complex laws, rules, and/or regulations </li><li>Managing a program (i.e., developing policy, setting objectives, evaluating service delivery, allocating resources, etc.) </li><li>Collaborating and building relationships with stakeholders and staff across organizational levels (i.e., customers, direct reports, business partners, senior management, etc.) </li></ul> <p>In addition, Highly Qualified candidates will also have experience with some of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Managing a financial and/or benefit services program (e.g., accounting, tax, insurance, retirement, etc.). </li><li>Supervising lower-level supervisors (e.g., hiring, performance evaluation, discipline, etc.) </li><li>Developing strategic plans and/or business initiatives </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To apply, click "Apply for Job" to start the application process.
