<p>Semiconductor Materials Scientist</p> <p>Located at Seurat HQ in Wilmington, MA. The electro-optics technology development team (EO-TD) is currently seeking a semiconductor materials scientist. As the semiconductor materials scientist you will work with multi-disciplinary engineering teams in the development of DOE (Design of Experiments) testing, assembly, and build planning. The ideal candidates will possess in-depth semiconductor physics and materials background, and be familiar with microfabrication processes and measurement, materials characterization, and optical techniques.</p> <p>Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Support development of advanced semiconductor-based electro-optic devices with emphasis on microfabrication process development, metrology, characterizations, optical & electrical diode, and related material studies. </li><li>Develop semiconductor materials and multi-physics simulation of devices. </li><li>Collaborate with opto-electric multi-disciplinary teams such as mechanical designers, software engineering, optics engineering, and optomechanical assembly. </li><li>Manage, prepare and/or support project schedule, budget, cost constraints, proposal development, technical customer briefings, and coordination of external subcontractors. </li><li>Work closely with senior scientists and technical subcontractors such as academic partners to develop advanced opto-electronic devices, photoconductor devices, circuits, and applications. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Required Experience & Education</p> <ul> <li>6-years of experience + Bachelor's in Electrical or Materials Engineering, or Applied Physics. </li><li>4-years of experience + Master's in Electrical or Materials Engineering, or Applied Physics. </li><li>2-years of experience + PhD in Electrical or Materials Engineering, or Applied Physics. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills</p> <ul> <li>Semiconductor device physics, microfabrication, PVD tools, and optics. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Semiconductor device fabrication. </li><li>Clean Room processing. </li><li>Optical and spectroscopy techniques including DLTS. </li><li>Device electrical testing. </li><li>Experience with lasers. </li><li>Experience with COMSOL Multiphysics. </li></ul>
