<p>Apprenticeship Workforce Development Specialist</p> <p>Oversee the day-to-day operations of the apprenticeship programs. This position reports directly to the Workforce Development Manager to implement, maintain and sustain all CarolinaPower apprenticeships. This position will provide support for recruiting, related instruction curricula, on-the-job Learning (OJL) and establishing and maintaining close relationships with public and private institutions to hire top talent for the company. Conduct business in accordance with PPC and CarolinaPower, Inc. mission and vision statements.</p> <p>Day to Day Operations:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain apprenticeship files in accordance with 29 CFR Part 29 & 30. </li><li>Draft Apprentice Training Agreements & process as required. Maintain electronic apprentice files in Department of Labor RAPIDS system. </li><li>Work with the Department of Labor to resolve issues and coordinate annual audits. </li><li>Receive and respond to inquiries from apprentices and supervisors regarding apprenticeship progress. </li><li>Receive calls from the public inquiring about the apprenticeship programs and how to apply. </li><li>Monitor related instruction progress for all programs and determine the correct minimum pay for apprentices in each period of apprenticeship. Monitor apprentice grades and communicate progress to managers. </li><li>Work with supervisors and payroll to address issues with Electrician to Apprentices Ratios. </li><li>Maintain records of apprentice program costs and process apprentice education invoices. </li><li>Identify and apply for state/local apprenticeship grants. </li><li>Visit talent source locations, creating and maintaining relationships, and participating in career fairs at high schools, technical colleges, universities and colleges. </li><li>Assist with Management Trainees, Intern recruitment and other technical positions needed at branch level. </li><li>Work closely with hiring managers to help forecast apprentice needs and determine the proper related instruction. </li><li>Work with educators to align curricula with industry requirements and needs. </li><li>Work with non-profits to promote careers in construction and help develop talent pipelines. </li><li>Attend trade association and advisory boardmeetings; participate in skills challenge events. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>This position requires a focused professional with a great attention to detail. </li><li>Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately. </li></ul> <p>Associate's Degree required.</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in marketing, education, human resources, or similar discipline preferred. </li><li>1-3 years of experience in recruiting, apprenticeship administration, and construction industry preferred. </li><li>Highly customer-service oriented & team player; ability to create strong relationships with all clients/customers. </li><li>Valid driver's license and insured personal transportation is also required. </li><li>Experience with registered apprenticeship programs and DOL database preferred. </li><li>Positive safety attitude and high personal integrity. </li><li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills. </li><li>Knowledge of recruiting and organizational development techniques preferred. </li></ul> <p>CarolinaPower is an Equal Opportunity Employer.</p>
