<p>Seeking a Project Construction Manager A to support our federal government client in Aiken, SC</p> <p>Application Deadline: Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 5:00 PM EST.</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>The Contractor will manage construction projects and maintenance activities on multiple, moderately complex multi-million dollar projects from conceptual design to completion, with primary responsibility for safety, quality, schedule, and cost.</p> <ul> <li>Manage a dedicated construction organization to ensure completion of project and maintenance activities safely, on schedule, within budget, and at the appropriate quality level </li><li>Provide concise and accurate presentations to internal and external customers regarding construction status, including complex technical, organizational, and financial issues </li><li>Conduct complex analyses of problems involving construction activities and develop innovative alternative action strategies to achieve milestones early </li><li>Perform risk analyses, define and approve corrective actions, and establish priorities </li><li>Optimize construction efficiency with input and involvement throughout all project phases </li><li>Manage established costs, schedule, and technical baselines, and effectively manage project staff and matrix personnel </li><li>Foster a "team concept" with Operations, Department of Energy, other departments/divisions, attend meetings, report status, and resolve complex problems </li></ul> <p>Additional Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Prioritize safety above project schedule and cost </li><li>Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and collaborate with team members </li><li>Foster a cooperative and inclusive work environment </li><li>Multifaceted in all construction disciplines </li></ul> <p>Work Hours:</p> <p>A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRNS utilizes various work schedules including 5/8s (8 hour/day; five days per week), 4/10's (10 hours/day; four days per week), and 9/80's (9 hours/day, five days on week AA and four days on week BB. Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each workday has 30-minute lunch. Overtime will be expected at times to meet deliverables and will be utilized at the discretion of the Manager.</p> <p>The anticipated work schedule: Start on day shift; after turnover, night schedule Mon-Thurs approx. 7:00 PM-5:30 AM EST.</p> <p>Area Security Access:</p> <p>Clearance "Q" required. Candidates with an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>In-depth knowledge of construction, cost/scheduling, subcontract administration, and ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques </li><li>Comprehensive knowledge of project management/planning, operations, maintenance, startup, and construction management/subcontracts </li><li>Must be able to work night shift schedule </li><li>Able to obtain and maintain a DOE "Q" security clearance </li></ul> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and 13 - 15 years of practical experience in construction. In-depth knowledge of construction, cost and scheduling, subcontract administration and the ability to develop or evaluate construction strategies and techniques OR </li><li>An associate degree and 15 - 17 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent </li><li>A high school diploma and 17 - 19 years of practical experience would be considered equivalent OR </li><li>A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of project management and project planning the tactical level would be ideal, along with a knowledge of operations, maintenance, or project startup and construction management and construction subcontracts </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Multifaceted in all construction disciplines </li><li>Working knowledge of CAD and/or SmartPlant software </li><li>Experience with large construction projects and DOE/NNSA </li><li>Candidates who have possessed an active DOE clearance (L or Q) within the past two (2) years </li></ul> <p>NOTE: US Citizenship is required to perform this government contract.</p> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>OUTSOURCE Consulting Services, Inc.
