Think, try, and thrive with us in collaborative work environments that spark game-changing concepts.</p> <p>FIRST SHIFT</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Inspect and verify spot welded joints of entire vehicle body as defined by quality standards </li><li>Inspect and verify stud presence, location, and torque welded to the vehicle body as defined by quality standards </li><li>Inspect and verify MIG/MAG welds of the entire body as defined by quality standards </li><li>Inspect and verify sealer/adhesive of the entire body as defined by quality standards </li><li>Inspect and verify laser welds/laser brazing of the entire body as defined by quality standards </li><li>Responsible for the control of the ultrasonic device and the test mode </li><li>Conduct special audits without inspection plan specification </li><li>Use the ultrasonic tester to analyze spot-welded joints in reference to the inspection plan </li><li>Provide expert input to establish and modify testing plans. Act as a consultant while working with other departments to establish ultrasonic test parameters (e.g. locations, quantity of points, and amplitude) </li><li>Document, communicate and troubleshoot unsatisfactory ultrasonic tests with the appropriate department; decide if a physical inspection (with peel and/or chisel) is necessary </li><li>Communicate any daily information and any other relevant events during change of shift </li><li>Assist in the organization of teamwork </li><li>Participate in Continuous Improvement Program </li></ul> <p>Qualifikationen</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED and a minimum of 5 years of relevant automotive production experience </li><li>or- </li><li>Associate's Degree in a technical trade (NDT, material sciences, welding technology, industrial technology, etc.) and 2 years relevant automotive production experience </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skills</p> <ul> <li>Extensive experience with non-destructive structural testing </li><li>Knowledge of sheet metal processing and data processing </li><li>Certified Radiographic Interpreter preferred </li><li>Certified Welding Inspector preferred </li><li>Previous spot-welding experience preferred </li></ul> <p>We are all in for change.
