You'll also resolve scheduling, staffing and quality issues to deliver results on time and within budget. You'll also:</p> <ul> <li>Design and develop wastewater treatment systems, collection systems, and related infrastructure. </li><li>Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and technical reports for municipal and industrial wastewater projects. </li><li>Perform hydraulic modeling, process design, and system optimization. </li><li>Business Development with clients in existing and new markets </li><li>Builds and maintains client relationships </li><li>Effectively communicates ideas and technical concepts to co-workers and with clients on sensitive and complex matters </li><li>Leads projects utilizing staff and sub-consultant resources to successful completion of projects on schedule and on budget </li><li>Prepares client contract, statement of qualifications, priced proposals and contracts </li><li>Quality control for assigned projects and clients </li><li>Works on complex projects </li><li>Prepares documents and reports </li><li>Performs work that involves non-conventional planning </li></ul> <p>What it takes</p> <p>Ideally, you'll have a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a similar degree with appropriate experience. You should have 8 years of experience in engineering with 2+ years of Project Management experience. You should be a licensed Professional Engineer. Ideally, you'll also:</p> <ul> <li>Navigate Illinois Environmental Protection Agency regulations with ease. </li><li>Have proven client relationship management skills. </li><li>Be a smart worker and a team player. </li><li>Be well-acquainted with wastewater processes, methods, and state and federal requirements. </li><li>Use engineering software. </li><li>Speak and write well. </li><li>Have strong analytical and organizational skills. </li></ul> <p>What you'll get</p> <p>You'll have plenty of opportunities to grow professionally at our progressive firm, which started in 1973.
