Capabilities include Swiss Screw machine parts, laser cutting and welding, tube fabrication, CNC milling / turning, wire EDM and more.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>The Quality Engineer is responsible for the supervision and day-to-day coordination of the quality team, as well as for developing, implementing, and continuously improving quality systems and lean manufacturing processes in a dynamic production environment. This role ensures compliance with ISO 9001 standards and leads initiatives that improve product quality, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a strong background in engineered metal products, process validation, and team supervision.</p> <p>IDEAL EXPERIENCE:</p> <p>The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong focus on quality engineering and team supervision. A background in engineered metal products, including tubing and machining in both high- and low-volume production, is highly preferred. Candidates should be experienced in failure/root cause analysis, ISO 9001 compliance, inspection planning, and corrective/preventive actions. Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma tools and experience driving measurable improvements in quality and throughput are also desirable.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL RESPONAIBITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the facility and safety and wellness of all team members. </li><li>Responsible to ensure process adherence to all applicable quality policies and procedures to assure quality product with priority for patient safety. </li><li>Communicate regularly with all members of the team to maintain a high level of morale. </li><li>Supervise and support the quality team to ensure daily goals and quality standards are met </li><li>Maintain and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001:2015 requirements </li><li>Develop and implement process control plans, inspection instructions, and equipment validation protocols </li><li>Lead or support failure investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolution </li><li>Utilize tools such as FMEA, DOE, CpK, and root cause analysis to improve processes and reduce defects </li><li>Coordinate and support internal audits, customer audits, and ISO audits </li><li>Maintain and manage quality records, audit documentation, and related reporting systems </li><li>Monitor and manage nonconforming product, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation </li><li>Track and analyze quality metrics, providing recommendations for continuous improvement </li><li>Conduct training for team members on quality standards, inspection techniques, and lean tools </li><li>Act as a point of contact for customer quality concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up </li><li>Lead or contribute to lean manufacturing projects and continuous improvement initiatives </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience in a related environment. </li><li>Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality </li><li>Experience supervising or leading small teams within a production or quality environment </li><li>Experience with ISO 9001 and quality systems </li></ul>
