<p>Colony Tire Corporation in Charlotte NC is currently seeking a full time Commercial Tire Technician As a proud Employee Owned Company Colony Tire offers you the opportunity to be part of something bigger where your contributions directly impact the success and growth of the business We offer a comprehensive benefits package including Medical Dental Vision Employee Stock Ownership Plan ESOP 401k with Company Match Paid Holidays Vacation Time Company Paid Life Insurance and Short Term Disability Summary Employee will be required to repair and replace tires on commercial vehicles at the Colony location customer locations and on service calls on the side of a highway as well as other duties as assigned by the manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a valid drivers license appropriate for the vehicles operated and meet applicable commercial driver qualification requirementsInspect tires and wheels before and after service in accordance with established safety and quality proceduresIdentify repairable tire conditions and perform approved repairsReview work orders and communicate job details with supervisors and team membersAccurately document all work performed in compliance with company policies and proceduresSafely unbolt and re bolt wheels using hand and power toolsMount and dismount tires on drop center semi drop center and multi piece rimsProperly match and assemble dual tire configurationsIdentify correct tire specifications and inflate tires to proper size ply and load requirementsBalance wheels using balancing machines and apply required counterweightsReplace valve stems and remove puncturing objects from tiresSafely move vehicles in and out of the shop and customer locations Knowledge Skills and Abilities Mechanical Knowledge Understanding of machines tools and equipment used in tire service including proper use maintenance and repairEquipment Operation & Control Ability to operate shop equipment and tools safely and effectivelyActive Listening Ability to understand instructions ask clarifying questions and communicate effectivelyOperation Monitoring Ability to observe equipment and identify potential issues or malfunctionsTime Management Ability to manage time efficiently and complete tasks within expected timeframesPhysical AbilitiesFlexibility to bend stretch twist and reachStrength to lift push pull or carry heavy objectsTool Proficiency Ability to recognize and properly use hand tools pneumatic tools machine tools jacks hoists and related equipmentVehicle & Equipment Operation Ability to safely operate forklifts passenger vehicles and commercial vehicles as requiredProblem Solving Ability to analyze situations make sound decisions and resolve issues efficiently Work Styles Attention to Detail Demonstrates thoroughness and accuracy in completing work tasksDependability Reliable responsible and accountable in fulfilling job dutiesCooperation Works well with others and maintains a positive team oriented attitudeIndependence Capable of performing work with minimal supervisionIntegrity Acts ethically treats others with respect and upholds company valuesStress Tolerance Maintains composure and effectiveness in high pressure situations Work Environment & Physical Demands While performing the duties of this position the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts fumes or airborne particles outdoor weather conditions and loud noise levels Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor environments with regular exposure to heat and cold The role frequently involves working with dirty or greasy parts and in awkward positions The employee must regularly lift up to 100 pounds and frequently lift andor move more than 100 pounds with assistance or equipment as appropriate Minor workplace injuries may occur;
