<p>Description</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Serves customers promptly and courteously. Prepares and serves hot and cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, smoothies, smoothie bowls, teas and food products. Maintains sanitation standards.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Provides customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions. </li><li>Cleans and sanitizes work areas, utensils, and equipment. </li><li>Cleans service areas. </li><li>Checks temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning. </li><li>Describes menu items to customers and suggests products that might appeal to them. </li><li>Stocks supplies. </li><li>Sets up and restock product coolers. </li><li>Slices fruits and vegetables for garnishes </li><li>Demonstrates proper knife handling skills and techniques </li><li>Demonstrates attention to detail and accuracy when creating drinks based on company recipes and measurements. </li><li>Maintains standard operating procedures in accordance with company policy, guidelines and outside licensed and certification authorities. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Equipment Operated</p> <ul> <li>Vitamix Blenders </li><li>Espresso Grinder and Espresso Machine </li><li>Juicer </li><li>Wheatgrass Machine </li><li>Bailer </li><li>Trash Compactor </li><li>Knives </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Education and Experience (E = Essential D = Desired)</p> <ul> <li>High school education or equivalent </li><li>1-2 years' experience in food service industry; previous Barista experience desirable </li><li>Excellent customer service skills </li><li>Food presentation skills </li><li>Preferred Level 1 or higher Serve Safe Certification </li></ul>
