<p>Description</p> <p>The Quality Specialist supports Quality Control testing activities through routine and non-routine biochemical and molecular biology assays. This person will perform analytical testing to support release, characterization, and stability testing of raw materials, production intermediates, and final products in a GMP-regulated environment. Perform routine and non-routine analytical biochemical and molecular biology assays in support of raw material, in-process, and final product testing. Execute testing in accordance with approved protocols, SOPs, and GMP requirements. Conduct daily laboratory activities following written procedures with accuracy and attention to detail. Test raw materials and components to determine QC acceptability. Perform visual and measurement inspections; identify, reject, and return nonconforming materials. Support incoming inspection activities, including sample analysis, batch record review, historical trend review, and documentation of findings. Approve in-process production by confirming specifications and communicating required adjustments to the supervisor. Generate and support Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Change Orders as required. Maintain testing reagent inventory and assist with routine laboratory and instrument upkeep. Manage retention samples, including filing, inventory accuracy, and general organization. Troubleshoot assay or instrument issues as needed and escalate appropriately. Ensure complete, accurate, and compliant documentation of all laboratory activities in accordance with GMP standards. Demonstrate flexibility to support shifting priorities and variable schedules as needed.</p> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related scientific discipline. 1-3 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a QC, analytical, or regulated laboratory environment (entry-level candidates with strong academic lab experience may be considered). 1-3 years of GMP</p> <p>Experience Level</p> <p>Intermediate Level</p> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract position based out of Madison, WI.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
