The impact you will make in our faith-based, mission-driven culture will cultivate excellence and achieve professional fulfillment united in humankindness.</p> <p>As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:</p> <ul> <li>Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. </li><li>Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. </li><li>Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. </li></ul> <p>Job Requirements</p> <p>In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:</p> <p>Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement </li><li>Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred </li><li>Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs </li></ul> <p>Experience Requirements</p> <ul> <li>One year experience preferred </li><li>Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certification Requirements</p> <ul> <li>RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly) </li></ul> <p>Where You'll Work</p> <p>The Medical Surgical/Telemetry department at Holy Cross Hospital Mountain Point has 16 beds and averages 10-14 patients a day. This unit includes a variety of diagnoses, including CHF, COPD, Chest Pain, MI, GI bleeds, post-catheterization, TIA, TR bands, and stroke. We receive overflow from anywhere in the hospital if they have a cardiac or neuro issue, provided they meet unit criteria. We generally serve an underlying medical population of patients, such as heads and hearts or any chest pains. We also care for a large variety of Orthopedic patients that come up from our operating rooms. Our mission is teamwork. Our department offers many opportunities to grow and learn because of our two service lines and the variety of nursing experience on the floor. Overall, we are a cardiac monitored floor/telemetry and have an exciting culture of new nurses, good energy, and a learning environment. This is a fast-moving floor.</p>
