Bennett High School</p> <p>Salary (Non negotiable)</p> <p>Commensurate with education, highly qualified status (as determined by Human Resources), and verified full time experience. Includes employee benefits package.</p> <p>Paygrade 4 $19,963 - $27,187 High school diploma or equivalent (GED).</p> <p>Paygrade 5 $21,339 - $28,945 48 college credits or qualifying scores on the Parapro Assessment</p> <p>Paygrade 6 $22,422 - $30,397 Bachelor's degree or higher</p> <p>Hours:</p> <p>10 months, 35 hours per week, 182 days (1274 annual hours)</p> <p>Contract Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory support services bargaining unit.</p> <p>FLSA: Non-exempt</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent (GED).</p> <p>Preference may be given to candidates with post-secondary education.</p> <p>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and associates.</p> <p>Experience working with youth is preferred.</p> <p>Excellent oral and written communication skills.</p> <p>Excellent organization and self-starter skills.</p> <p>Working knowledge of Word and Excel applications and ability to work with other types of applications after training.</p> <p>Maintain a valid driver's license and availability of an automobile.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Monitor student attendance by reviewing various student attendance and intervention reports.</p> <p>Maintain contact with students and parents through appropriate methods such as phone calls, conferences or email communication.</p> <p>Make phone calls or home visits to students who are absent for three consecutive days.</p> <p>Work with parents and students to ensure paperwork such as Free and Reduced Meal forms and Student Data forms are signed and returned to school.</p> <p>Work collaboratively with the Pupil Personnel Worker and Community School Coordinator assigned to the school to perform home visits for the following reasons:</p> <p>Follow-up on repeat absences and tardiness.</p> <p>Promote active parent involvement in the school community.</p> <p>Assist with the Truancy Reduction Program.</p> <p>Complete and log attendance intervention tasks associated with WCPS Attendance Procedures.</p> <p>Attend Student and Family Services professional development and team meetings.</p> <p>Establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, and other school staff members.</p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned by Administration.</p>
