<p>Resident Service Manager</p> <p>$5,000 Sign-On Bonus</p> <p>"To glorify God by providing a continuum of care and services that demonstrates the love and compassion of Jesus Christ."</p> <p>Position Summary: Provide quality direct nursing services following the resident service plan in an environment that promotes residents' rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and person-centered care. Work closely with interdisciplinary team.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide treatment and care following the resident service plan. </li><li>Implement, evaluate and provide nursing services as directed. </li><li>Observe and record signs, symptoms, behaviors, reactions of residents. </li><li>Support and ensure compliance with established infection control procedures, universal safety precautions, and state/federal regulations. </li><li>Coordinates the training and work activities of the Resident Assistants that are appropriate with skill level. Assists with staffing coverage of shifts. </li><li>Provide input into the evaluation of staff performance with recommendations for appropriate action. </li><li>Work collaboratively with all Clinical staff to create a climate that promotes engagement and provides opportunities for growth, learning and job satisfaction. </li><li>Identify problems/concerns with resident or staff and help to guide to solutions. </li><li>Accurately and promptly implements physician's orders. </li><li>Order medications from pharmacy and upon their arrival, distributes them to the appropriate medication carts. </li><li>Maintain the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting. </li><li>Communicates with physician's offices, home health agencies, and families regarding health conditions/issues. </li><li>Schedule's laboratory blood draws according to physician's orders and follows-up with physician's office when reports come back. </li><li>Assists with move-ins and discharge of residents. </li><li>Make report to oncoming staff regarding resident information, needs and changes in condition. </li><li>Maintain a professional approach with confidentiality. </li><li>Understand and support Resthaven policies and procedures. </li><li>Participates in the clinical on-call rotation. </li><li>Supervise, coach and manage nursing staff. </li><li>Assumes all other position related responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills. </li><li>Computer literate and familiarity with Word, Excel and Email. </li><li>Demonstrated clinical competencies. </li><li>Communicates effectively and tactfully, while recognizing age, cultural orientation, needs, abilities and physical condition, while using dementia specific interventions when appropriate. </li><li>Ability to display a sense of caring, concern, compassion and dignity for residents. </li><li>Ability to establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with residents, families, visitors, and employees. </li><li>Well organized and attentive to detail. </li><li>Ability to work independently and manage time productively. </li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment including fax, calculator, telephone, copier, etc. </li><li>Reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills. </li><li>Is resourceful and calm in emergent situations. </li></ul> <p>Education, Training & Experience:</p> <ul> <li>LPN or RN License, or other health related bachelor's degree. </li><li>Previous nursing experience preferred, especially with assisted living and memory care. </li><li>Attends all required in-service training and departmental meetings. </li></ul> <p>Required Licenses, Registration, and/or Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>Current LPN or RN license preferred, not required. </li></ul>
