<p>YOUR IMPACT</p> <p>The Camp Hope & Project Pathways Site Lead creates positive, nurturing relationships with children and staff, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. This position promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall experience of Camp Hope America and Project Pathways programs.</p> <p>WHAT YOUR DAY MAY LOOK LIKE</p> <p>No two days are the same in this role but every day centers on creating meaningful experiences where youth and families feel safe, supported, connected, and inspired through engaging monthly programs.</p> <ul> <li>Lead and supervise children during monthly Project Pathways programs and activities </li><li>Plan and facilitate engaging experiences such as education, team-building, SEL, S.T.E.A.M., and family outings </li><li>Create culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate programs aligned with YMCA values </li><li>Prepare materials, participant information, training resources, and program supplies </li><li>Provide constant supervision to ensure participant safety during all activities </li><li>Build positive relationships with children, families, and staff through strong communication and support </li><li>Serve as a positive YMCA role model by demonstrating core values in all interactions </li><li>Take ownership of concerns or challenges and resolve issues professionally </li><li>Maintain clean, organized, and welcoming program spaces and grounds </li><li>Attend trainings and staff meetings to stay prepared and informed </li><li>Follow YMCA policies, safety procedures, and American Camp Association standards </li></ul> <p>If you enjoy working with youth and families, love creating memorable experiences, and thrive in an active, purpose-driven environment this role is for you.</p> <p>SCHEDULE & COMPENSATION: 1 Position</p> <p>Position 1: YMCA Camp Winnebago</p> <p>Part-Time, Non-Exempt</p> <p>Preferred afternoon, evening, and weekend availability</p> <p>10 - 12 hours per month</p> <ul> <li>Schedule may vary and is based on programming needs </li></ul> <p>$17.00 per hour</p> <p>FUNDING SOURCE</p> <p>ICJIA/Community - Based Violence Prevention and Intervention Program, 100%, 12/12/2025 - 06/30/2028, Non-Renewable</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Minimum age of 21 years old </li><li>Able to work with children between ages of 8-17 </li><li>High school graduate or equivalent; one year or more of college preferred </li><li>Previous experience working with children, preferably in a day camp setting </li><li>Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: outdoor living, archery, boating, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics and recreational games </li><li>Attend trauma-informed training upon hire </li><li>IL DCFS Child Abuse and Neglect/Mandated Reporter </li><li>CPR & First Aid/AED certification required upon hire </li><li>Current Praesidium Academy trainings required </li></ul> <p>THERE'S SO MUCH MORE TO WORKING AT THE Y!
