<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Brookfield High School is seeking a skilled and dedicated English Teacher to join our academic team.</p> <p>We are looking for an educator who is committed to fostering student growth, both academically and socially, within a supportive and collaborative school environment.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities: (list not all inclusive)</p> <ul> <li>Create a structured and engaging classroom environment that encourages student learning and development. </li><li>Deliver instruction in literature, writing, and language arts that aligns with curriculum standards. </li><li>Collaborate with colleagues and staff to support student achievement and school initiatives. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom expectations. </li><li>Maintain classroom management while adhering to school policies and procedures. </li><li>Complete all required administrative duties, including grading and reporting on student performance. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Connecticut English (015) certification. </li><li>Experience teaching at the high school level preferred and Must be comfortable with AP Language and Composition level course work. </li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively within a professional team environment. </li><li>Dedication to providing a positive and meaningful learning experience for students. </li></ul> <p>Brookfield Public Schools is committed to creating an inclusive and diverse work environment.
