The Controls Services Technician is responsible for completing service calls while maintaining positive client relations.</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency service calls on existing BMS </li><li>Install, troubleshoot and repair system components including sensors, actuators, controllers, and networking devices </li><li>Troubleshoot installations and correct deficiencies without direct </li><li>Perform functional testing and system validation </li><li>Effectively communicate with customers to evaluate service needs, maintain proper scheduling and ensure high levels of customer </li><li>Monitor customer buildings to ensure optimum performance standards are being achieved. Fine tune systems as new programs and sequences are </li><li>Identify opportunities for additional building enhancements and perform upgrades and/or small scale retrofits on existing systems. </li><li>Perform building surveys and work with Service Manager on estimating additional </li><li>Perform necessary software programming, equipment start-up, tuning and calibration and commissioning of BAS </li><li>Be proficient in knowledge of following equipment: VAVs, Exhaust Fans, Unit Vents, AHUs, Hot Water Systems, Chiller Water Systems, and </li><li>Stay informed of industry developments for energy savings strategies. </li><li>Effectively provide feedback to supervisor for ways to improve the installation </li><li>Assume additional responsibilities as needed and approved by </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Field experience in the HVAC controls industry including DDC Systems commissioning, software integration operation, calibration and experience with pneumatic </li><li>Experience with Honeywell Niagara/Tridium N4 is preferred </li><li>Understanding of the construction industry with emphasis in mechanical/electrical </li><li>Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical </li><li>Strong communication, organizational and documentation </li><li>Competency in Microsoft Word, Excel, N4 Workbench, AutoCAD, various operating </li><li>Proven track record of completing projects, being self-motivated and achieving customer satisfaction. </li><li>Deploy, revise, checkout, and commission building automation, DDC, energy management and controls systems hardware, software and </li></ul> <p>EMCOR Services New York/New Jersey is an equal opportunity employer and will provide reasonable accommodation to those individuals who are unable to be vaccinated consistent with federal, state, and local law</p> <p>The salary range for this position is 75K to 100K depending on experience.
