<p>Students may only have 5 open job applications at a time.</p> <p>Work Experience:</p> <p>Entry-Level (Foundational)</p> <p>Work Experience Description:</p> <p>Suitable for students with basic foundational knowledge and little to no practical experience, ideal for freshmen or sophomores who have completed only introductory courses.</p> <p>Department</p> <p>First Aid & Security</p> <p>Position Scope</p> <ul> <li> <p>Applies compresses and assists in various other basic treatments such as providing aspirin-free pain relievers, cleaning minor wounds and abrasions, and applying band-aids.</p> </li><li> <p>Takes and records guest/employee temperature, and records any other symptoms observed regarding the injury or illness. Records injury and illness and submits them to the manager of the safety Department.</p> </li><li> <p>Observes guest/employee and reports any adverse reactions to supervisor.</p> </li><li> <p>Follow up with the Safety Committee and report and update to the Compensation Department.</p> </li><li> <p>Assembles and uses various types of first aid materials and equipment.</p> </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have a good working knowledge and understanding of basic First Aid operations, treatments and procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be familiar with the various cultural traditions and attitudes of Pacific Island and Pacific Rim countries.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to become First Aid and CPR certified.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be capable of a full range of body movement.</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English. Fluency in a foreign language is desirable but not required.</p> </li><li> <p>Should be a high school graduate or the equivalent.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>First Aid/ CPR/ AED certified.</p> </li><li> <p>Prior work experience.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient in English with strong writing skills.</p> </li></ul> <p>Must attach Resume and Fall 2025 class schedule (weekly view)</p> <p>Work Schedule</p> <p>Monday 4 pm - 10 pm</p> <p>Tuesday 4 pm - 10 pm</p> <p>Saturday 11 am - 5 pm</p> <p>All applicants must be available for an on-site interview at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie, HI.</p> <p>Approximate starting hourly rate:</p> <p>$14.00 - $16.00</p> <p>The wage offered could be above or below range based on education and experience as it relates to the job description.</p> <ul> <li>Must exemplify the university Honor Code, including the Dress and Grooming Principles and Expectations </li><li>Preference will be given to students who can work during academic breaks </li></ul>
