<p>Job#: 3028688</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Apex Systems, the Nation's 2nd largest Technical Staffing and Services Firm, has an opening for a RF Engineer with a Fortune 500 Company, Contract Position!</p> <ul> <li>If you are interested in this role, please email your resume and to [email protected] </li></ul> <p>RF Engineer</p> <p>Location: 100% Remote</p> <p>Length: 12+ month contract with possible extension</p> <p>Payrate range: $55 - $60/hr.</p> <p>Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm PST - working hours will be in pacific standard time.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Overview</p> <p>The RF Engineer supports a variety of RF design, optimization, and project-based activities. This role works on macro sites, small cells, relocations, temporary sites, and modification projects, contributing at any stage-from initial design through optimization and on-air readiness.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform RF design tasks including virtual site reviews, design documentation, regulatory packages, and build deliverables. </li><li>Conduct LTE/NR optimization: KPI analysis, mobility tuning, neighbor planning, tilt adjustments, and interference mitigation. </li><li>Interpret zoning drawings, construction drawings, and RF design documents. </li><li>Complete or review EME studies for compliance. </li><li>Use RF propagation, post-processing, and project management tools to support workflows. </li><li>Review drive test data and provide recommendations to improve LTE/NR performance. </li><li>Produce audit-ready documentation such as closeout packages and parameter change logs. </li><li>Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support project execution. </li><li>Perform field visits as needed to validate designs or support milestones. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>5+ years of RF optimization experience (Ericsson experience preferred). </li><li>Strong knowledge of LTE/NR KPIs, mobility tuning, neighbor optimization, tilt strategies, and interference mitigation. </li><li>Proficiency with TrueCall, AirWave, RTT, or similar tools. </li><li>Familiarity with Ericsson RAN parameters, scripting, and ENM/AMOS. </li><li>Understanding of wireless build processes and ability to read ZD/CD documents. </li><li>Solid grasp of RF fundamentals, antenna theory, and propagation. </li><li>Strong documentation accuracy and cross-functional communication skills. </li></ul> <p>Tool & Access Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Read/write access to TrueCall, AirWave, RTT, OSS/config systems, RET controllers, and script repositories. </li><li>Access to market POR baselines and acceptance KPI definitions. </li><li>Ability to import/export drive test data. </li><li>Familiarity with RF propagation and project management tools. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>RF design experience with Verizon or another carrier. </li><li>Experience with Atoll, Fuze SPM, RFDS, CQ, or similar tools. </li><li>Experience with DMAT or other drive test tools (TEMS, Nemo, Actix, ROMES, XCAL/XCAP, R&S QualiPoc, ThinkRF). </li><li>Experience with SLA-based milestone delivery. </li><li>Knowledge of the Southern California market. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <p>Some higher education required; bachelor's degree preferred.</p> <p>Apex Benefits Overview: Apex offers a range of supplemental benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other insurance plans that offer an optional layer of financial protection.
