More information is on their website: https://www.gapost.org/pdf_file/eot_procedure.pdf.</p> <p>Under general supervision, you </p> <ul> <li>Are responsible for the daily operations associated with the Axon FUSUS platform along with the custody, issuing, deploying, and maintenance of technical surveillance equipment and other related items for the Chatham-Savannah Counter Narcotics Team.  </li><li>Recover audio/video evidence from electronic surveillance equipment used in narcotics investigations; testifies in judicial proceedings when necessary.  </li><li>Assist the investigative agents in developing their cases.  </li><li>Perform a variety of administrative duties, as required, including preparing correspondence, record-keeping and maintenance, and preparing related reports.  </li><li>Issue, care for and maintain technical surveillance equipment, and other equipment/supplies to/for CNT agents and support staff.  </li><li>Coordinate with other County Departments and outside vendors concerning maintenance and repair work on technical and other law enforcement related equipment for CNT. </li><li>Use your communication and customer service skills as you respond to citizens' questions and comments.  </li><li>May be required to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.  </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED, and  </li><li>At least four (4) years of experience in surveillance, technical surveillance, or closely related experience, or  </li><li>Law Enforcement experience along with completion of training in a surveillance program; or </li><li>Any equivalent combination of experience and training.  </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: </p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of technical surveillance equipment operation, maintenance, management and purchasing.  </li><li>Knowledge of Axon's FUSUS platform along with its capabilities and integration with other surveillance equipment/software. </li><li>Knowledge of appropriate federal, state and local laws, codes, and statutes concerning the use of surveillance equipment.  </li><li>Knowledge of inventory management procedures and practices, including computerized inventory systems.  </li><li>Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time-sensitive deadlines.  </li><li>Skill in using judgment in interpreting and applying procedures and directions to specific court cases or hearings.  </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality in the performance of duties. </li></ul> <p>Special Requirements: </p> <ul> <li>Must be Georgia POST certified as a Police Officer or complete the Georgia POST Equivalency of Training process prior to the end of the probationary period. </li><li>Must submit to and pass a comprehensive background investigation, credit history check, drug screening, and polygraph examination. </li><li>Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license. </li><li>Must sign release of information forms. </li></ul>
