<p>EHS Specialist I - OFF SHIFT</p> <p>KCC is seeking a driven individual with a passion for safety and health to help drive KCC towards world class safety performance on 2nd and 3rd shift. Shift time will be from 6:00 PM-3:30PM Sun-Wed and 2:00 PM-10:30 PM on Thursday with some variances according to the production schedule.</p> <p>Our Mission:</p> <p>KCC enhances the lives of our customers, partners, employee-owners, and communities by providing innovative HVAC solutions.</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION: The EHS Specialist I will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS systems.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Educate, communicate and enforce KCC environmental, health, and safety policies/procedures. </li><li>Participate in the development of short and long-term EHS goals. </li><li>Present training modules for small and large groups. </li><li>Participate in safety committees to drive shop floor safety presence. </li><li>Facilitate root cause investigations for all reported incidents, no matter how minor, in unison with shop floor leadership. </li><li>Complete all required inspections and drive closure to findings. </li><li>Complete site hazard analysis through the JSA program. </li><li>Assist with proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste </li><li>Develop relationships with professional organizations and vendors. </li><li>Participate in government agency inspections. </li><li>Work off shift hours and respond to calls when needed. </li><li>Perform other tasks as directed by the EHS Director. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>0-5 years of environmental health and safety experience in a manufacturing setting. </li><li>Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Safety Engineering, or related discipline. </li><li>Must have experience working in a team environment, leading teams to meet/exceed goals. </li><li>Strong organizational & time management skills. </li><li>Demonstrated problem solving skills. </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent personal computer skills and Microsoft products experience preferred. </li><li>Multisite experience </li><li>First-Aid, AED, and CPR training </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. </li><li>Ability to perform activities including bending, stooping, standing, lifting up-to 50 lbs. </li><li>Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties, or responsibilities that are required by the employee for this job.
