Each of us is a neighbor, a friend, a family member, and together, we are a trusted community health center.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY</p> <p>To provide basic hygiene services to the patients of Union Community Care (UCC).</p> <p>SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES</p> <p>Administrative</p> <p>1.Monitor the quality of patient care and recommend and implement changes for improving patient care</p> <p>2.Develop educational programs for Head Start and other community agencies</p> <p>3.Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Dental Director</p> <p>Clinical</p> <ol start="4"> <li> <p>Provide dental hygiene care for patients</p> </li><li> <p>Facilitate oral health education for patients both clinically and in outreach settings</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain legible, legal documentation in patient charts as directed by department policies</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in continuing education to stay abreast on new techniques and procedures in the field of dentistry</p> </li></ol> <p>Billing</p> <ol start="8"> <li> <p>Accurately code procedures following each dental visit</p> </li><li> <p>Follow processes for ensuring prior authorization is received before initiation of procedures that require prior authorization</p> </li></ol> <p>Other</p> <ol start="10"> <li>Performs other work-related duties as assigned </li></ol> <p>POSITION REQUIREMENTS</p> <ul> <li>Active Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Dental Hygienist License </li><li>Dental Hygiene degree from accredited school </li><li>Successful completion of Union Community Care's (UCC) credentialing process </li><li>Participation in all insurance plans that UCC accepts </li><li>Some administrative experience preferred </li><li>English proficiency required </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>In order to fulfill the requirements of this position, duties 1-10 are considered essential functions of the job.</p> <p>ORGANIZATIONAL INVOLVEMENT</p> <p>This position is required to participate in mandatory all staff meetings, team meetings and trainings.</p>
