Collegial and flexible job with teaching and academic opportunities if desired.</p> <p>Compensation commensurate with academic ranking and experience.</p> <p>Types of cases: general OPH and ENT cases</p> <p>Mode of practice: MD and CRNA Care Team</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY:</p> <p>Provides anesthesia care to patients across all MEE campuses.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate patients to formulate an adequate anesthetic plan and obtain consent. </li><li>Supervise and administer direct patient care. </li><li>Expected to rotate between all MEE campuses and provide care in all services. </li><li>Manage and administer sedation and anesthesia during surgical procedures. </li><li>Record patient medical history and anesthetic amounts. </li><li>Monitor, manage, and treat changes in patient functions during operations, including breathing, heart rate, and blood pressure, temperature and pain. </li><li>Monitor conditions of patients before, during, and after anesthesia to look out for outcomes and potential adverse reactions. </li><li>Coordinate and direct a team of nurses, medical and anesthesia technicians, and other healthcare professionals. </li><li>Order x-rays, laboratory tests, and other necessary diagnostic procedures. </li><li>Collaborate and communicate with other medical professionals to determine care plans and provide high-quality patient care. </li><li>Participate when needed in the transfer and transport of patients. </li><li>Provide anesthesia care, including regional anesthesia when needed, for eye surgery </li><li>Conduct research to make advancements in the field of anesthesiology. </li><li>Expected to teach trainees. </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>Requirements and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Certification from the American Board of Anesthesiology or eligible for it. </li><li>Compassionate attitude with a focus on outstanding patient care. </li><li>Excellent communication skills to listen and speak with patients and colleagues. </li><li>Critical thinking and problem solving skills. </li><li>Keen attention to detail. </li><li>Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and oftentimes high-pressure environment. </li><li>Certification for ACLS and PALS. </li><li>Adhere to clinical guidelines, policies, and professional conduct. </li></ul> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>Onsite</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>243-245 Charles Street</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>0</p> <p>Employee Type</p> <p>Per Diem</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Day (United States of America)</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>Massachusetts Eye and Ear Associates, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
