<p>This position is to greet, check-in, and register patients who have arrived at our imaging facility for their radiologic procedure or test. This role will also be responsible for performing deposit reconciliation and assist with guiding and training of new team members.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.</p> <ul> <li>In a polite, prompt and helpful manner, greet, check-in and register patients who arrive to our facility for their scheduled appointment or those who are walk-in patients. </li><li>Verifies that the patient has brought all of the required information for their exam: </li></ul> <p>? prescription for the procedure(s) (look in system for a copy if they didn't bring it)</p> <p>? authorization or referral if the procedure requires it</p> <p>? collect outside images that will be used for comparison</p> <p>? insurance card & driver's license for ID</p> <ul> <li>Ask and verify that the patient did do the prep for their exam if required. </li><li>Contact referring physician's office if patient arrives without prescription or referral. </li><li>Scan the required documents into the system on their account for retrieval. </li><li>If the patient is returning and has been a previous patient, update all of their information that is already on their account. </li><li>Provide any necessary forms that need to be completed and obtain signatures as necessary. </li><li>Collects time of service money (co-pays, deductibles and private pay), prepares receipt, records in system under visit tab. </li><li>Function in a team environment and assist other team members when needed. </li><li>Others duties may be required, but not limited to; answering the phone, escorting patient to exam room, and scheduling or rescheduling of patient's exams. </li><li>Function in a team environment and assist other team members when needed. </li><li>Others duties may be required, but not limited to; answering the phone, escorting patient to exam room, and scheduling or rescheduling of patient's exams. All other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education / Experience</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of one-year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology desirable. Must have computer and phone experience. </li><li>High school graduate or GED preferred. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge & Skill</p> <ul> <li>Proficient in computer software and excellent typing skills. </li><li>Displays a high competency for the role and is very efficient in the registration process </li><li>Excellent oral and written communication skills. </li><li>Previous working experience in customer service, preferably in a medical setting. </li><li>Knowledge of customer service concepts and company policies including safety, privacy and HIPAA. </li><li>Problem solving techniques and skills. </li><li>Able to communicate clearly to establish cooperative relationships with patients, families, physicians and team members, and create a pleasant waiting room atmosphere. </li><li>Previous office or call center experience, preferred. • Knowledge of some medical terminology and radiology procedures, preferred. </li></ul>
