The ideal candidate will be proficient in the use of Edgenuity, have experience in credit recovery programs, and possess strong relationship-building skills. The teacher should be engaging, adaptable, and committed to helping students recover credits in a positive and supportive learning environment. This program runs from June 1-June 28, 2025. Pay rate is 35 an hour. There will be some required training in April and May.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Edgenuity Proficiency:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing Ingenuity or similar credit recovery platforms. </li><li>Guide students in navigating the platform, troubleshooting issues, and maximizing available learning tools. </li><li>Monitor and track student progress daily, ensuring completion of assigned modules and assessments. </li></ul> <p>Credit Recovery Instruction & Individualized Support:</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct, targeted instruction through 1:1 support, modeling, and guided practice. </li><li>Identify students at risk of falling behind and implement individualized intervention strategies. </li><li>Offer structured reteaching of challenging concepts to support skill development. </li><li>Adapt instructional methods to meet diverse student learning needs. </li></ul> <p>Student Engagement & Motivation:</p> <ul> <li>Implement goal-setting strategies to help students stay on track and motivated. </li><li>Utilize frequent check-ins, progress celebrations, and positive reinforcement to encourage persistence. </li><li>Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student confidence and achievement. </li></ul> <p>Progress Monitoring & Accountability:</p> <ul> <li>Regularly assess student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. </li><li>Maintain detailed records of student engagement, performance, and completion rates. </li><li>Identify and implement targeted interventions based on data and student feedback. </li></ul> <p>Communication & Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain open and consistent communication with students, parents, counselors, and administrators regarding student progress and challenges. </li><li>Collaborate with school staff to address barriers to student success and ensure a cohesive credit recovery program. </li><li>Provide regular reports on student participation, progress, and any concerns requiring administrative support. </li></ul> <p>Classroom Management & Attendance:</p> <ul> <li>Monitor student attendance and engagement, intervening as needed to ensure consistent participation. </li><li>Establish clear expectations for student behavior and participation in the credit recovery setting. </li><li>Foster a structured, supportive environment that encourages student accountability. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field (Master's degree preferred). </li><li>Valid teaching certification. </li><li>Proficiency in using Ingenuity or similar credit recovery platforms. </li><li>Previous experience in credit recovery programs or alternative education settings. </li><li>Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on student motivation and engagement. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and create individualized learning plans. </li></ul> <p>Duration:</p> <p>This is a temporary position for the duration of the summer school credit recovery program.</p>
