As a SUE Field Technician V, you will support the Utah team by leading teams, mentoring team members and work on multiple projects simultaneously.</p> <p>What are the core responsibilities for the role?</p> <ul> <li>Obtains and maintains all required safety certifications. </li><li>Communicate with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others as appropriate to the project. </li><li>Manage time effectively, organize, and work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet project deadlines and client needs </li><li>Supervise and train crew members. Assist with delivering projects. </li><li>Assist with QAQC of utility data and documentation </li><li>Designate (locate) existing utilities using electromagnetic and geophysical technologies as needed to support the team. </li><li>Accurately and efficiently collect field data. </li><li>Read and interpret utility records, as-built and survey drawings, and highway design plans. </li><li>Perform other tasks as assigned to help accomplish the company's strategic goals. </li><li>Must be able to lift 75 pounds, walk for extended periods, and work in all weather conditions, be willing to work evenings/weekends when required, and be willing to travel for overnight and extended stay projects as required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:</p> <ul> <li>12-16 years' SUE Tech experience </li><li>Providing utility designating/locating services is a plus. </li><li>Land Surveying a plus </li><li>High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Additional schooling or training is a plus </li><li>Solid work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a team-player attitude. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail. </li><li>Career growth minded. </li><li>Must be able to quickly grasp new technologies. </li><li>Able to occasionally travel out of town and work overtime. </li><li>Should be able to walk long distances of several miles daily. </li><li>Good driving skills and a clean driving record. </li><li>Able to work in teams and get along with coworkers. </li><li>Outdoor work in all climates. </li><li>Work with clients in a professional manner. </li><li>Thorough understanding of ASCE 38 guidelines and associated quality levels is a plus. </li><li>Strong computer and technical skills; Auto CAD, MicroStation, or similar application is a plus. </li><li>Perform basic math and measurement. </li><li>Assist with additional projects as assigned. </li><li>Obtain DOT medical card. </li></ul> <p>Why would a candidate want this job?</p> <p>At Horrocks, you can expect a competitive base salary and award-winning benefits.
