<p>Responsible for preparing/modifying wood doors specific to the instructions of each order. Some preparations require permanently joining metal parts using high heat application to form a permanent bond. Others require the use of power tools such as circular saws, jig saws, drills, and sanders.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Utilizing measuring tools to mark and prepare the material </li><li>Using saws, drills, and other power tools to create the necessary finished product </li><li>Remove any rough edges created during the modification process </li><li>Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals </li><li>Join beams in the construction of metal frame pieces </li><li>Weld materials such as steel and titanium </li><li>Use a rod and heat to join metals </li><li>Operate welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials </li><li>Use molten metal to join two pieces of metal </li><li>Plan work by interpreting shop orders </li><li>Select and set up welding equipment </li><li>Ensure welds meat standards and specifications </li><li>Package finished product for transport </li><li>Interpret scope of work from documents detailing tasks to be completed </li><li>Wear appropriate safety equipment at all times </li><li>Assist Shop Manager as required </li><li>Other relative duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience </li><li>Current and valid US driver's license preferred </li><li>At least 1 year prior experience in a fast paced production/manufacturing environment preferred </li><li>Must pass pre-employment background check or drug test. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>General knowledge of warehouse manufacturing </li><li>Must be able to work as a team and at times independently </li><li>Must be able to follow directions </li><li>Work in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple duties with accuracy, shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines </li><li>Exercise sound judgment, work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision </li><li>Must have basic hand and power tools including: hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and cordless drills </li><li>Knowledge of proper safety practices when handling products, tools and power equipment </li><li>Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively read and use a tape measure </li><li>Must be able to work overtime as needed </li><li>Must have reliable transportation to and from work </li><li>Detail-oriented </li><li>Ability to report to work on time </li></ul>
