<p>Position Summary# The Senior Credentialing Quality Specialist manages the credentials of medical staff members and allied health professionals to ensure the highest quality patient care within the Hospital and compliance with TJC and other regulatory agencies. #Responsible for coordinating and supporting the functions of the Medical Staff Services Department.# Core Duties and Responsibilities ### #Accurately complies with department credentialing requirements for processing initial and reappointment applications of Medical Staff and Allied Health professionals ### #Maintains current database for physicians and healthcare assistants by becoming efficient in the use of the database program ### #Completes a variety of verification requests from multiple resources #in a very timely manner for physicians and allied health professionals ### # Responsible for physician On-Call schedule and disbursement of reimbursement funds ### #Ability to interface succinctly and intelligently with physicians, board members and hospital personnel ### #Responsible for accurately filing documents within timeline# ### #Ensures compliance with Joint Commission and state regulations ### #Serves as resource person in the Medical Staff Department ### #Knowledge of Medical Staff Bylaws and associated manuals ### #Responsible for conducting Focused Professional Practice Evaluations (FPPE) for newly credentialed practitioners during their initial period of practice and to evaluate specific areas of concern for established practitioners. Requirements ## # 4+ years of experience in Healthcare, Legal or Finance# ### #NAMSS Provider Credentialing Specialist Certification ### #CPCS# ### #Verity Credentialing Stream platform ### #Must be detail oriented with ability to accurately document information required# ### #Proficiency in Microsoft Office ### #Ability to function in a demanding environment by navigating projects simultaneously while effectively supporting a very busy Medical Staff Services office ### #Ability to follow up on pending documentation in a very timely fashion and document timeline of inquiries ### #Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of staff within the organization, physicians and vendors# ### #Excellent interpersonal skills Preferred ### #Experience with transcription and Dictaphone preferred ### #CPMSM preferred Salary Range - $70,000 - $80,000 annually (Based on experience) Additional information # # #To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
