Facilitates the implementation of effective instructional strategies, small-group instruction, and curriculum access, while supporting professional development, data analysis, and school-wide initiatives. Serves as a liaison between teachers, campus administration, and district leadership.</p> <p>Qualifications (Education/Certification):</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree preferred </li><li>Valid New Mexico Teacher License </li><li>Experience in coaching or instructional leadership preferred </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate knowledge of effective instructional strategies, science of reading practices, small-group instruction, and curriculum resources. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of evidence-based reading interventions, progress monitoring, and dyslexia-informed practices. </li><li>Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and district staff. </li><li>Analyze and interpret academic and literacy data to guide instructional decisions. </li><li>Provide modeling and coaching for new and Level I teachers, including reading instruction and intervention strategies. </li><li>Support EL identification and WIDA screening processes. </li><li>Strong organizational, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. </li></ul> <p>Major Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <p>Classroom Support</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance and coaching to teachers on instructional strategies, classroom practices, and effective literacy instruction. </li><li>Support the implementation of small-group instruction and model effective teaching methods, including targeted reading interventions. </li><li>Assist new and Level I teachers with professional development and classroom support, including reading instructional best practices. </li><li>Support teachers in accessing and utilizing district curricula (print and digital), including core and supplemental literacy resources. </li></ul> <p>Reading Intervention Support</p> <ul> <li>Provide direct, targeted reading intervention to identified students based on data. </li><li>Use diagnostic, formative, and summative literacy assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress. </li><li>Develop and implement individual and small-group intervention plans aligned to student needs. </li><li>Collaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction and close reading gaps. </li><li>Maintain documentation of student progress and communicate outcomes with teachers and administrators. </li><li>Support implementation of MTSS/MLSS literacy interventions across tiers. </li></ul> <p>School-Wide Support</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a liaison between teachers and campus administration. </li><li>Coordinate PLCs with the principal, including data collection, analysis, and follow-up, with an emphasis on student literacy outcomes. </li><li>Support and help coordinate school-wide instructional and literacy initiatives. </li><li>Serve as SAT/MLSS campus lead. </li><li>Assist with pacing guide development, including alignment to literacy standards and intervention needs. </li><li>Support principals in managing curriculum inventory and instructional resources, including literacy materials. </li><li>Assist principals with test administration duties (not administering). </li></ul> <p>Instructional and Program Management</p> <ul> <li>Participate in weekly meetings with the Director of Elementary Education for guidance and collaboration. </li><li>Monitor the implementation of instructional and reading intervention programs and provide feedback for continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Other Duties as Assigned:</p> <ul> <li>Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documentation. </li><li>Comply with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and local board policy. </li><li>Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. </li></ul> <p>Supervisory Responsibility: NONE</p> <p>SALARY: Certified Salary Schedule, 173 Days</p>
