For more information on what our cabinet has to offer, check out our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWSuC43XqlHchYeQ66tP7tg and our Careers page: https://eec.ky.gov/Pages/careers.aspx.</p> <p>By joining the Division for Air Quality's Technical Support Branch, Source Sampling Section as an Environmental Engineering Technologist I in Warren County, you will have the opportunity to work across branches within the Division and with the regulated community.</p> <p>Holders of the Environmental Engineer Technologist I position will complete tasks such as:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct beginning level observations and evaluations of continuous emission monitor certification tests and compliance tests </li><li>Perform beginning level audits of protocols for tests of air pollution sources to ensure proper testing and engineering practices </li><li>Perform beginning level evaluations and calculations on source emission test reports </li><li>Review regulations and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) test methods </li><li>Attend workshops, seminars, and meetings regarding test methods, protocols, and requirements </li></ul> <p>The position requires climbing of ladders, using a harness at various heights that can range above 400 feet.</p> <p>EEC provides opportunities for development and upward movement.
