For more details about the SUNY Old Westbury, please refer to our website at www.oldwestbury.edu.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>SUNY Old Westbury seeks a dynamic, forward-thinking, and engaging Assistant Registrar to provide excellent customer service to our diverse student population. The Assistant Registrar is a key member of the Registrar's Office working on projects and maintaining records in conjunction with our Admissions Office, Student Financial Services Office, Financial Aid, faculty/staff, and with other administrative offices within the campus community. This office provides services to a diverse student population and their families, who are enrolled in a varied set of online, off-site, and in person courses/programs.</p> <p>Essential Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Administers all aspects of academic scheduling using Modern Campus Schedule. </li><li>Manage course creation and updates via Banner, Curriculog, and Degree Works. </li><li>Maintain course information, curriculum updates, and course inventory including Waitlist. </li><li>Update course schedule each semester in coordination with academic departments. </li><li>Works with deans and chairs to identify and resolve potential scheduling conflicts. </li><li>Audit schedule, including room conflict, and configuration before publication. </li><li>Update room inventory, schedule events, and labs accordingly. </li><li>Assist with Change of Majors, Minors, Concentrations. </li><li>Assist with submission via the National Student Clearinghouse (NSC) while resolving errors. </li><li>Assist in reviewing of degree applications, awarding of degree, and posting of honors. </li><li>Assist with Degree Works scribing, Transit, and Surecode. </li><li>Participates in Registrar's Office registration activities to include registration of continuing students, assisting with drop/add requests and prerequisite questions, and assisting with new student registration sessions. </li><li>Responsible for maintenance and security of all student academic records. </li><li>Provide assistance to students, parents, staff, faculty and administrators as needed in accordance with FERPA. </li><li>Assist with Student Solution Center coverage. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field. </li><li>A minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience within a Registrar's Office. </li><li>A minimum of two (2) years of experience with course scheduling/course offerings or experience with Registrar data audits/updates. </li><li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. </li><li>Experience with higher education student information systems. </li><li>Must have knowledge of and understand the importance of FERPA and student records privacy policies. </li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute tasks with strong attention to detail. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work within a team. </li><li>Cultural competence and ability to communicate effectively with diverse constituencies. </li><li>Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekend hours in support of special projects/events. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Modern Campus experience. </li><li>Ellucian Banner experience. </li><li>Degree Works experience. </li><li>Argos reporting experience. </li><li>NSC experience. </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>Salary Range: $57,151.00 - $60,000.00 (plus $4,000.00 location pay) commensurate with education and experience</p> <p>Comprehensive benefits package: https://www.suny.edu/media/suny/content-assets/documents/benefits/benefit-summaries/UUP-FT-Benefits-at-a-Glance-Jan-2025.pdf</p> <p>Position Type: Professional</p> <p>Budget Title: Registrar</p> <p>Campus Title: Assistant Registrar</p> <p>Department: Registrar</p> <p>FTE: Full-time</p> <p>Negotiating Unit: UUP</p> <p>Salary Grade: SL-3</p> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p> <p>The successful candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.</p> <p>The State University of New York at Old Westbury is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
