<p>Job Title: QC Lab Technician</p> <p>Pay: $22/hr</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>The QC Lab Technician is responsible for conducting both routine and non-routine chemistry and microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process formulations, and final products to ensure they meet established specifications. This role involves operating laboratory equipment and instruments following laboratory procedures, and calculating and generating data for compliance to specifications.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct routine and non-routine chemistry and microbiological analyses of raw materials, in-process formulations, and final products. </li><li>Utilize and operate laboratory equipment and instruments, including pH meters, conductivity meters, UV spectrometers, KF titrators, FTIR, and titration apparatuses. </li><li>Understand and follow Quality Control test methods or compendia methods (USP, EP, BP, JP, or ACS) and EXCIPACT standard. </li><li>Calculate and generate data for compliance to specifications and report results. </li><li>Perform technical review of lab data forms such as water, environmental monitoring, and direct measure analysis. </li><li>Calibrate and maintain lab equipment. </li><li>Enter final results and raw data for tested materials or products in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). </li><li>Conduct investigative analysis to support investigations, complaints, or instrument troubleshooting. </li><li>Perform Environmental Monitoring duties, including gowning into cleanrooms and collecting air and surface samples. </li><li>Review for discrepancies in data, manufacture Certificates of Analysis (COA), Certificates of Conformance (COC), and perform data verification in accordance with company procedures. </li><li>Apply appropriate disposition labels to materials (e.g., accepted, rejected). </li><li>Handle hazardous materials using all appropriate or mandatory safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety equipment. </li><li>Complete documentation in a legible manner and review for accuracy. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in a science field. </li><li>1-3 years of laboratory experience in a related field. </li><li>Proficiency in chemistry testing techniques and instruments, including titration, GC, GLC, HPLC, TMC, UPLC, FTIR, ICP-MS, ICP-OES. </li><li>Wet chemistry experience preferred (e.g., Acid/Base Titrations, water content). </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in Quality Control, GMP, and Quality Assurance. </li><li>Experience in microbiology and analysis. </li><li>Strong understanding of laboratory and safety procedures. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The employee will work in a regulated laboratory environment within a manufacturing facility. This facility mainly produces excipients and high-purity chemicals, such as buffers, amino acids, salts, and specialty chemicals. Proper attire, including gowns and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is required to maintain a clean and safe working environment.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
