Responsibilities include performing duties related to system support and maintenance; provides technical support service, repairs and preventive maintenance as necessary to maintain the safe operation of BWH's biomed integrated Systems, and advanced patient care technologies</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Summary</p> <p>Maintains and assists in medical equipment management by installing, calibrating, repairing, and inspecting medical equipment.</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <p>Inspects newly acquired medical devices and systems for safety and function and attaches and assigns appropriate control numbers and labels to medical devices.</p> <p>Conducts complete performance assurance and electrical safety testing. Performs preventive/scheduled maintenance on medical devices as required.</p> <p>Respond to medical equipment problems in clinical or research areas; evaluate, troubleshoot, and solve problems.</p> <p>Performs equipment repairs to a level requiring generic test instrumentation or diagnostic software, e.g., to board or component level for electrical devices.</p> <p>Participates in medical equipment evaluations, installations, and upgrades, including software revision.</p> <p>Makes periodic rounds of assigned clinical areas to assess the operation of medical devices and systems.</p> <p>Instructs department and other equipment technical staff on testing, calibration, preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, and medical equipment repair.</p> <p>Documents inspections, repairs, maintenance procedures, and teaching activities.</p> <p>Required for All Jobs</p> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> <p>Complies with all policies and standards</p> <p>Does this position require Patient Care (indirect/direct)?
