We are an equal opportunity employer; no information obtained during the recruitment/selection process is intended for any discriminatory purposes.</p> <p>Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule</p> <p>Grade: 106</p> <p>Salary: $10.50 Hourly</p> <p>Department: Health</p> <p>E-mail: MelissaM2@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Rotating work schedule Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. and rotating Saturday clinics from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. once a month. Must be available to work additional hours as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Previous candidates need not reapply</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct client interviews in order to determine income eligibility for WIC Program. </li><li>Gather information such as income, address, Medicaid, Temporary Assistance of Needy Families (TANF) documentation, check stubs, or other program required forms and calculate monthly income accordingly. </li><li>Complete forms on each WIC participant according to category. </li><li>Gather and record the height and weight of each applicant using pediatric and adult scales and measuring equipment. </li><li>Prepare and update graphs and records. </li><li>Conduct hemoglobin test by finger stick. </li><li>Provide group nutrition education classes according to State approved lesson plans, answers questions about the lesson or refer to appropriate counselor, have clients fill out surveys. </li><li>Perform data entry by entering all data gathered on clients in the Texas WIN computer system, issue benefits, and schedule appointments. </li><li>Run daily, monthly, and State WIC required reports on a regular basis. </li><li>Call clients to remind them of their appointments, prepare missed appointment and future appointment reminder letters weekly. </li><li>Attend health fairs and other community outreach events in order to promote the WIC program and nutrition related classes. </li><li>Provide customer service by assisting clerks in answering phones, scheduling appointments, conducting quick intake applications, greeting clients, preparing and filing charts. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Position requires a High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Minimum of one (1) year of related experience preferred but not required </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
