<p>The Purpose</p> <p>The primary purpose of this position is for creating an environment in the classroom, lab, and/or clinical settings that facilitates learning and the achievement of desired cognitive, affective and psychomotor outcomes.   Facilitate learner development and socialization of values and behaviors expected of those who fulfill the role of a Central Sterile Processing technician. Responsible for delivering   curriculum that reflects contemporary health care trends and prepares central sterile processing graduates to successfully complete the credentialing exam and function effectively in the healthcare environment. Working together, no elevation is too high, and no summit is unreachable.  </p> <p>What You'll be Doing  </p> <ul> <li>Delivers curriculum for continuing education central sterile processing program.  </li><li>Perform record keeping function in the areas of attendance, student performance in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li>Review, grade and provide appropriate feedback on student submitted work in a timely fashion </li><li>Prepare and deliver lesson plans to students at designated instructional location(s) which may include online learning platforms. </li><li>Collaborates with clinical facility staff in scheduling clinical experience for the number of students to the clinical site. </li><li>Maintain mastery and currency in the field of central sterile processing to ensure continuity between course instruction and evidence-based practices. </li><li>Ensure compliance and confidentiality with all policies and procedures of the College, NC Community College System, and applicable State and Federal agencies. </li></ul> <p>Additionally  </p> <p>Perform other duties as assigned.  </p> <p>Education:  </p> <p>High school diploma or equivalent.</p> <p>Preferred: National certification in Surgical Technology and/or Central Sterile Processing</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>A minimum of two years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a Surgical Technologist and/or Central Sterile Processing technician.</p> <p>Skills and the Know-How  </p> <p>The person filling this position must possess strong personal and professional integrity, good interpersonal skills, effective verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to safety.
