<p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Legal Secretary (LS) provides a wide range of legal secretarial functions for Assistant State Public Defender Attorneys, such as ensuring the appropriate, timely and accurate processing of legal documents, and correspondence. In addition, this position is responsible for providing accurate, timely, responsive legal secretarial office services, while maintaining effective working relationships. Join our team and contribute to this key function of the SPD, and experience the intrinsic reward of public service.</p> <p>Here is a copy of the position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>This classification is in pay schedule/range 02-12 with a starting salary of $24.12 per hour. Future pay increases will be in accordance with the Compensation Plan. Pay will be set in accordance with the Compensation Plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code in effect at the time of hire. A one-year probationary period will be required.</p> <p>Permanent classified state employees who are eligible for consideration (transfer, voluntary demotion, or reinstatement) for a position assigned to the stated pay range or counter-part pay range, should complete the application process as described above by the stated deadline.</p> <p>Final selected candidates may be eligible for moving expense reimbursement to relocate to the place of employment.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Background Check: We consider all qualified applicants with criminal histories, consistent with applicable federal, state and local law.
