<p>We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner, Manufacturing Operations to manage production scheduling for our high mix, low volume manufacturing plants. The role involves developing and optimizing the master production schedules to ensure efficient final assembly, coordinating with cutting, CNC machining, and welding processes, and balancing customer demands with operational capacity using strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of manufacturing workflows.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <p>REASONABLE ACCOMMODATIONS STATEMENT</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Assist in creating and updating the master production schedules (MPS) for final assembly, aligning with customer orders and production capacity under guidance. </li><li>Support coordination with cutting, machining, and welding teams to ensure lower-level schedules align with the MPS, addressing bottlenecks. </li><li>Enter and maintain accurate scheduling data in the ERP/MRP system, ensuring real-time visibility for stakeholders. </li><li>Monitor production schedules and report deviations or constraints to plant management for resolution. </li><li>Co Develop and maintain the master production schedules (MPS) for final assembly, ensuring alignment with customer orders, inventory, and capacity. </li><li>Coordinate with supervisors in cutting, machining, assembly, and welding to align lower-level schedules, minimizing bottlenecks and ensuring material flow. </li><li>Analyze production data, lead times, and resources to create realistic schedules that meet delivery deadlines and improve efficiency. </li><li>Adjust schedules in response to demand changes, supply chain disruptions, or equipment/staffing issues, communicating impacts to stakeholders. </li><li>Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and sales teams to anticipate material needs and resolve scheduling conflicts. Recommend continuous improvement opportunities. </li><li>Track and report KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, throughput) and maintain accurate ERP/MRP data. </li><li>10-15% travel possibility. </li></ul> <p>POSITION QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience: 2-5 years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing operations, preferably in high mix, low volume environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Technical Skills:</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS) for scheduling and planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).</p> </li><li> <p>Core Competencies:</p> </li><li> <p>Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows (assembly, machining, welding).</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data-driven decisions.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and multitasking abilities.</p> </li><li> <p>Adaptability to shifting priorities and operational challenges.</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred:</p> </li><li> <p>APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with lean manufacturing or capacity planning tools.</p> </li><li> <p>Multi-site experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
